MEMOIR
TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY PRESS
Charting a mother’s journey from grief to gun safety advocacy.
The idea of guns and locks being the focus of the cover was inspired by the logo for the non-profit started by the author. Gun safety is the main point of the memoir, so a gun made of locks seemed to hit the nail on the head.
For this title I designed the cover, full jacket, interior, and marketing materials including a postcard and a web banner. I've also redesigned this cover and jacket for a paperback edition, included below.
In 2024 I had the privilege of making an updated version of this cover for the paperback. Keeping to the original theme, I reoriented the imagery and reversed the colors to create an equally popping cover that stood separately.
