MEMOIR

TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY PRESS

A compelling firsthand chronicle of wildfire, recovery, and adaptation on the Texas Panhandle.
To capture the two sides of the author’s experience with smoke, a Venn diagram was used with bad smoke and good smoke on their respective sides and the subtitle describing his experience in the middle. Additionally, the image is made to be grayscale inside either side of the diagram to represent that there being only bad or good smoke is “black and white” thinking, while the overlapping middle is solid gray because his actual experience is more of a “gray area.”

For this title I have designed the front cover, full cover, interior, a postcard, and web banners.
